Prof. Aaron Ciechanover shared the 2004 Nobel Prize in Chemistry with Avram Hershko and Irwin Rose for “for the discovery of ubiquitin-mediated protein degradation.” He is a research professor in the Department of Biochemistry at the Technion’s Rappaport Faculty of Medicine in Haifa.
